Brid.TV Platform Update 5.3.6. — Amazon A9 Header Bidding, Prebid Waterfall Support, and More

Brid.TV Platform update 5.3.6.

Hello everyone! We know it hasn’t been long since our last update, but with 2021 just around the corner, it’s that time of the year again when the Holiday Season is upon us, and the spirit of giving is in the air. Thanks to our hard-working dev team, we have another platform update for you just before the holidays!

This last 2020 update introduces several useful new features, UI improvements, and multiple bug fixes. Let’s see what our team has put under the Christmas tree for you!

Novelty Features, UI Improvements, and Bug Fixes

We’re excited to announce that the 5.3.6. update has introduced a few long-awaited features!

The first and the most anticipated novelty is that our player now supports Amazon A9 video header bidding. This feature is easy to set up and will help publishers further increase their ad revenue. Getting started with Amazon A9 video header bidding is as straightforward as adding your respective Amazon publisher IDs and adjusting your DFP to handle requests on the player level.

The second feature all publishers will love is that we have introduced prebid waterfall support for all prebid adapters the platform currently supports. In other words, all our users will now be able to set up custom waterfall solutions between PrebidJS, SpotX, and Amazon adapters.

Aside from the above, the 5.3.6. update brings with it some CMS UI improvements, the introduction of post-bid impression tracking in Brid.TV’s Protected Media integration, and various bug fixes.

Full 5.3.6. Update Changelog

Here’s everything new that came with the 5.3.6. update:

  • Brid.TV player now fully supports Amazon A9 video header bidding. Setting this feature up is straightforward — all you need to do is add your Amazon publisher ID and set up your DFP to handle requests from Amazon on the player level. Currently, our system supports only GAM (DFP) for handling Amazon bidding requests.
  • Added prebid waterfall support for all prebid adapters that we currently support. That means you can use all prebid adapters that Brid currently supports (PrebidJS, SpotX, and Amazon) and can set up a custom waterfall solution between them.
  • Added some CMS dark mode improvements for certain colors and fonts.
  • Added post-bid impression tracking for our Protected Media integration.
  • Fixed an issue where third-bottom overlay ads would go under specific video carousel elements and, thus, lose viewability.
  • Added a new “/” option when creating new live streams, representing an infinite time frame when a server will shutdown. That means once you create a server with this setting, it will never shut down until you stop it manually.
  • Fixed an issue with our iframe sources that did not have http(s) for video file URLs.
